Works at the iconic Ayia Napa Marina, expected to showcase Cyprus as a quality tourism destination, are progressing at a fast and steady pace. Home to the largest commercial zone in the Famagusta district, spanning a total area of over 4,000 square metres, the project is being completed and delivered in various stages in line with the company’s strategic development plan.

The marina has been welcoming and serving all types of yachts since June 2020, including 85 metre Superyachts, in a smart environment, widely regarded as one of the most modern marinas in the Eastern Mediterranean. Beyond berthing facilities – with all necessary provisions including electricity, water, WiFi and an automatic waste collection system – the marina facilities also include a boat maintenance service with a modern travel hoist crane used to lift yachts of up to 35 metres and 150 tons. The innovative Dry Stack storage facility can accommodate boats up to 10 metres in length during the winter period.  The state-of-the-art smart marina, as it has been characterized, also boasts electronic systems as well as floating means of surveillance and immediate intervention, at full readiness in case of emergency.

The marina’s latest acquisition is a multi-purpose boat, which has the ability to support Superyachts in adverse weather conditions, while it also operates as a firefighting and rescue boat. It can also be used as a VIP transport boat and can tackle possible pollution out at sea. Beyond its use within the marina, the boat is always ready to provide assistance out at sea for the benefit of the Ayia Napa and Sotira Municipalities within the framework of the M.M. Makronisos Marina Ltd corporate social responsibility activities.

The Ayia Napa Marina commercial village has been operating on a pilot basis since July 2021, with brands and shops including Riva Beachouse, Crew Lounge, Alphamega Convenience Store, and Coffee Berry. Aside from Riva Beachouse, which will reopen in the spring of 2022, all remaining establishments remain open, serving tenants, visitors, yacht owners and crew members. A new agreement with Amaro Hospitality Ltd’s Italian Primi restaurant marks an important development for the commercial village’s gastronomic offering, with the restaurant set to officially open its doors in spring 2022. Commercial village agreements began with Joël Robuchon International and the internationally renowned restaurants, L’ Atelier De Joël Robuchon and Le Deli Robuchon, set to open in the spring of 2022, and constituting flagship brands within the commercial village.

Works also continue at a fast pace for the creation of a one-of-a-kind Event Center which will soon become a focal attraction on the island and ideal venue for hosting a wide range of events. Ayia Napa Marina visitors can also make use of a new covered parking area for free until the end of December 2021. The parking facility is located in the heart of the commercial village within walking distance from all services, and features four floors and space for over 550 cars.

As regards the residential area, works in the East Tower are progressing at a fast pace, with the construction of the 19th floor now underway. Upon completion, it will include 95 spacious and luxurious one- to four-bedroom apartments, and two penthouse apartments on the two top floors boasting 360-degree panoramic views. It is worth noting that the first show apartment will be open for interested buyers in November 2021. Meanwhile, the promotion plan for the West Tower – which will be located in a tranquil area within the development – is being regularly evaluated. Both towers, which feature on the list of the world’s 32 twisted buildings, will reach over 100 meters in height and will be visible from both land and sea.

The Villa 18 (show villa) on the man-made island was delivered in July 2021, giving potential buyers the chance to start imagining their future lives at the iconic Ayia Napa Marina. Capturing the essence of beachfront living in the best way possible, Villa 18 proves that the Ayia Napa Marina residential area combines all the elements which constitute the ideal setting and the necessary infrastructure for an unparalleled environment of high aesthetics and comfort. The villas will gradually start being delivered in the fall of 2021, with interested buyers able to move in within 6 months from the date of their purchasing agreement.
